We are working with a reputable volume housebuilder seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a major residential development in Bedford. This is a permanent opportunity with an established business known for quality delivery and strong career development pathways.

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Senior Site Manager in delivering a large-scale private housing scheme from groundwork stages through to handover, gaining hands-on experience and progression opportunities within a high-performing site team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site operations on a busy volume housing development
• Assist in supervising trades & subcontractors to ensure programme & quality standards
• Monitor health & safety compliance across site
• Contribute to inspections, snagging, and achieving NHBC standards
• Help manage customer care processes pre- and post-handover
• Report progress and support the maintenance of accurate site records

About You

• Previous site experience within residential housebuilding (private, volume build preferred)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Passion for quality, safety and delivering a positive customer experience
• Motivated, proactive and eager to progress toward Site Manager level
• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS & First Aid beneficial
